A Letter from the CEO of Sara’s Comfort Care: Angela Jenkins & Her Story
To the families we serve and the communities we cherish,
Every day, I remember the profound honor it was to serve the older adults in my community, especially my grandmother and her friends. My career also consists of over 18 years of experience serving children and families. Sara’s Comfort Care, LLC is a constant reminder of the love my late grandmother, Sara Edwards, showed her community, family and church family every day. At the heart of our mission is a simple belief: every person deserves to age with dignity, respect, and the comforting knowledge that they are valued.
Our caregivers don’t just provide support—they offer companionship, stability, and a gentle presence during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Their compassion is the foundation of our agency, and I am continually inspired by how they show up with kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication.
To the families who place their trust in us, thank you. We know choosing care for a loved one is never easy, and we do not take your trust lightly. We are committed to providing not just services, but support and peace of mind—knowing that your loved one is safe and surrounded by people who genuinely care.
As we continue this work, our promise remains the same: to uplift every child or aging adult we serve, honor their stories, and help them maintain the independence and quality of life they so richly deserve.
With gratitude and heartfelt commitment,
Angela Jenkins, MA
Chief Executive Officer

Angela Jenkins is a dedicated mental health professional, advocate, and caregiver whose life’s work has been shaped by both her education and deeply personal experiences. She earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from USC Upstate. With over 20 years of experience in the social services field, she has devoted her career to serving children, families, and vulnerable adults, providing guidance, support, and access to resources that empower individuals to lead healthier and more stable lives.
Her passion for helping others is rooted in her own life experiences. Growing up, she supported her sister who lives with epilepsy, an experience that instilled in her compassion, patience, and resilience. Later, she became a primary caregiver for her grandmother, managing finances, coordinating healthcare, and assisting with daily personal needs until her passing in 2019. These experiences deepened her understanding of caregiving and strengthened her commitment to advocating for families navigating similar challenges.
She draws inspiration from her mother, whose presence as a safe haven for others in the community helped shape her sense of purpose. Influenced by this example, she has embraced a life mission centered on service—uplifting others and advocating for individuals whose voices are often unheard.
Professionally, her experience allows her to connect aging adults and family caregivers with essential resources that they may not otherwise be aware of. She is committed to guiding others through complex systems with compassion, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered.
Beyond her professional work, she is a proud dog mom and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is also a devoted member of Agape International Worship Center, where she serves as a leader in the Adult Dance Ministry. These roles reflect her commitment to community, service, and holistic well-being.
At the heart of her work and her life is a clear purpose: to assist others wherever she can, to uplift those in need, and to be a strong and compassionate voice for those who may not yet have the ability to advocate for themselves.
